No Room for Racism
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to show strength and resilience in the face of racism. Racism shows up in many forms—from overt abuse to the seemingly ‘small’ comments and jokes. But there’s nothing small about ‘everyday’ racism. It chips away at trust, safety, and wellbeing.

That’s why First Peoples’ Health and Wellbeing, Clothing The Gaps, Indigenous Sports Network and Blakground Productions are collaborating to launch an anti-racism campaign that challenges the everyday language and behaviours that continue to cause harm.

We know that culturally safe and respectful healthcare is essential, yet many Aboriginal people are forced to navigate systems where racism still exists—sometimes in obvious ways, other times in subtle, everyday interactions.

When people don’t feel culturally safe, they may delay seeking care, leave services early, or avoid treatment altogether. At First Peoples’ Health and Wellbeing, we see the effects of racism on our community’s health every day—but we also see the power of community, culture, and connection in healing and thriving.

We’re calling on mob and allies to join us in this campaign.
